This town of Esterillos Oeste which is located about 15 minutes from Jaco Beach, started as a fishing village many years ago. Today it is one of the lovliest places on the Pacific Coast to come for a visit, especially if you love to Surf.

The bronze statue of La Sirena (The Mermaid) stands guard over the bay and watches over the fishing boats that motor by. She is a famous landmark and is a must for a photograph!
